    1992 Max 4 rebuild

Hi all. So I'm doing a frame out rebuild brought about by some sprocket bolts that broke and worked there way out as they were spinning. Needless to say they chewed a few troughs in the bottom of the hull. I'm plastic welding the holes but can't remember what size rivets held the skid plates on. Does anyone know if they are specific waterproof rivets. Started this project a few years ago but got side tracked. Thanks for any help. Mike Duggan

Bump. Does anyone know what size rivets are used on the skid plate on a Max 4. Are they waterproof. Thanks Mike

3/16 by 1” maybe? Contact Max direct if no other replies.

My new beer holder spilled some on the trails - in it's hair and down it's throat.
    Joe Camel never does that.

Advice is free, it's the application that costs.

Thanks for the info. Is there a rubber seal on it. I was assuming they were water proof.

The rivets are closed end liquid tight 3/16 “. I’ve seen a small rubber washer on some up on the sides of the tub. Bottom of skid plate is countersunk to keep heads covered. McMaster Carr is the only place I’ve been able to get them after RI was gone. I’m not sure of length but think 3/4” grip range was the longest available.
